Welcome to A-K Boston Terriers, a small, family-centered Boston Terrier program where puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by everyday life, children, and plenty of love.
Our goal isn’t simply to produce puppies. We strive to thoughtfully pair each puppy with a family where they can thrive for years to come.
OUR PROGRAM
We believe responsible breeding starts long before a puppy is born.
Our breeding dogs are selected with an emphasis on health, structure, temperament, pedigree, and overall quality. Our program incorporates health testing appropriate to our dogs and breeding plans, and we carefully consider each pairing before a litter is planned.
Our puppies are raised indoors as part of our family. From their first days, they are handled, loved, and exposed to the sights, sounds, routines, and experiences that come with being raised in a busy home.
Every litter is raised with intention. Every puppy is an individual.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF WAITLIST
We know bringing home a puppy is a big decision, which is why we have moved to a rolling waitlist system designed to make the process more intentional for both our families and our puppies.
Our process is simple:
1. APPLY
Submit an application and tell us about your family, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in an A-K Boston Terrier.
2. GET APPROVED
Applications are reviewed individually. Approval means we believe your home may be a good fit for an A-K puppy.
3. JOIN OUR ROLLING WAITLIST
Approved families may choose to secure a position on our rolling waitlist with a placement fee. This allows us to focus our time on families who are genuinely committed to adding an A-K Boston Terrier to their family.
4. WAIT FOR YOUR MATCH
As puppies become available, our waitlist is updated and families naturally move forward as placements are made.
5. RESERVE YOUR PUPPY
When your turn arrives and we have a puppy that fits what you’re looking for, you’ll have the opportunity to place your puppy deposit and reserve your puppy.
Our goal is not simply to match families with the next puppy available. We consider gender, size, temperament, markings, structure, and the individual puppy’s characteristics, along with what each family is hoping to find.
CHOOSE HOW YOUR PUPPY COMES HOME
We understand that every family has different needs.
A-K families will have the option of bringing their puppy home at our standard homegoing age or choosing an extended 12-week program for families who would like their puppy to remain with us longer.
Our extended program allows additional time for continued socialization, handling, crate introduction, household exposure, and age-appropriate puppy development before joining their forever family.
